The Prime Minsiter of England Tony Blair announces he will be withdrawing troops out of Iraq, most in Basra. By the end of 2007, 3000 will be back home. The Dutch have announced to withdraw all troops by summer, but replace with a helicopter unit.
... and the USA? Politics won't totally kill our mission as it has in the whiney-liberal EuropeanUnion-controlled nation of England. They are pulling out because Tony Blair is leaving, and he has no choice. Don't get me wrong, we should put a timetable on American troop withdrawl, but not just 6 months notice as with England...
But we still have to get beyond the pissy-politics of this troop surge, suggested by high defense intelligence (Gen. Petreyaz?), and promoted by President George W. Bush. And not to mention, Baghdad is presumed to be 80-90% of the total violence in Iraq? I'm not a crazy conspiratorial mind, so I'd put my trust in the ranks. Give Baghdad the American troops' efforts to finish the job quickly. But let's get a suitable timetable too.

If you have ever read 1984, or any other "big brother" type stories, you would come to the conclusion that there may someday be technology for an unmanned vehicle to videotape almost anything and everything you do... WITHOUT YOU EVER KNOWING
Well, it's here! Called the Phantom Sentinel, it is made of 2 propellers to provide a counterclockwise thrust on either end of the "boomerang" figure, and the oblong extension is the fuselage, but also a propeller itself.
So that's basically something really cool made with two really fast propellers and a piece of an RC airplane wing.
The only way that it is invisible is to move (spin) so fast that a human's natural vision-capture ability is slower than can keep up with watching it. However, what about radar? It could probably detect it, right?
That's on my grocery list this week...
